Ingredients (Serves 4)
250 gr kurut
1 cup of hulled wheat 6 cups of water
1 teaspoon of mint
1 teaspoon of chili pepper flakes
1.5 tablespoons of clarified butter

Preparation
Put the washed lentils in a pot and cook with bulgur and water until it reaches the consistency of lentil soup. After cleaning and chopping the onions, they are fried in oil heated in a pan until they turn pink and served by pouring it over the soup.

*In the Urfa dialect, it is called ‘malhuta’. Mahluta means mixed in Arabic and is the name given to lentil soup mixed with bulgur. It metathesized and took the form of malhuta in the Urfa dialect.
